Atlanta Financial Markets Lunch
For the upcoming academic year, with the support of The Speedwell Foundation and The Financial Services Innovation Lab at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business, The Georgia Tech Student Foundation will be hosting a monthly lunch to discuss financial markets.
Atlanta has become a major center for S&P 500 corporations, financial institutions, investment professionals, foundations, and venture capital. All should benefit from interacting and discussing the economy and the financial markets. Georgia Tech looks forward to hosting this monthly meeting as an opportunity for timely economic discussions and we know the students will look forward to the gatherings to engage with Atlanta financial professionals.

About the Georgia Tech Financial Services Lab:
The Georgia Tech Financial Services Innovation Lab conducts unbiased research on financial markets, asset management, household investment and borrowing decisions, FinTech, quantitative trading strategies and application of ML and NLP to Finance. The lab is led by Sudheer Chava, the Alton M. Costley Chair and Area Coordinator, and Director, Quantitative & Computational Finance (QCF) Program. Michael Messner, Professor of Practice, Scheller College of Business, is helping to manage the breakfast series. Mr. Messner was CIO of Seminole Management Co, Inc., a $3 billion equity hedge fund which had annualized gross return of 19.5% before fees from 1995 through August 2018.
